Photoshop 2D Object Tutorial

I'll use this photo of a Red Pine in the tutorial. If you wish you may use it to follow along. I spent a lot of time developing this method and I hope you find it useful. If you have any questions about anything in this tutorial please feel free to contact me.

I have split it into seven pages to break it up and make sections easier to find later as a reference. Follow them in order when starting on a new object.

  1. File Setup - Setting the file up so it is ready for editing.
  2. Deleting the Background - Knocking out the main solid color in the background.
  3. Manual Removal - Removing by hand any parts that can't be removed in section two.
  4. Deleting the Edge - Removing the remaining background around the edge of your object.
  5. Fixing the Color - Fixing the color where background has blended with the object.
  6. Saving for PGA 2000 - Saving in the proper format for PGA 2000.
  7. Troubleshooting - How to fix typical problems you'll run into.
